Celebrating Our 1st Anniversary


Let’s start from the beginning. OMNI Self-care was conceived a year ago to share health-related wisdom (supported by the latest research) to enrich our lifestyles. Our process includes searching, analyzing, selecting, integrating and providing information from the latest research published in peer-reviewed journals.

To express our gratitude for your support, this blog post answers three questions: (1) WHAT we have done so far, (2) WHERE we are going next, and (3) WHY we are committed to growing and sharing.

WHAT have we done in one year? This is easy to answer when you explore our website and Instagram feed. We have designed and created over 100 insights covering such topics as integrative nutrition, nature-based therapies, health benefits of yoga, breathing exercises, tai chi and qigong, mindfulness meditation, music, dance, laughter, quality sleep, self-efficacy and optimism. … to name just a few.

We have also raised awareness about the benefits of forgiveness and gratitude, which are often overlooked when healing trauma and restoring mental health.

Our blog articles have been focused on the immune system (“Self-care for the Immune System”, July 2020) and expanding the power of nutrition (“Empowering Healthy Nutrition”, October 2020; “Healthy Gut Microbiota, Brain and Immunity”, February 2021). Titles of other blog posts “Health Benefits of Yoga” (August 2020), “Music and Health Dance Together” (September 2020) and “Gratitude and Well-being” (December 2020) capture our intentions to share SIMPLE and POWERFUL ways of improving our health.

WHERE are we going next? The COVID-19 pandemic has been teaching us about the importance of daily self-care. Now is the perfect time to nurture our immune defenses, as well as our mental and cardiovascular health using SIMPLE and POWERFUL practices: (1) breathe deeply, (2) stay active, (3) sleep well, (4) eat healthy, and (5) connect with nature.

We will share more insights and blogs on the benefits of INTEGRATING self-care routines. Can you imagine yourself healing and thriving when empowered by quality sleep, breathwork and physical activities? What wonders happen to our bodies and minds when we gently nourish all five senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch)? Would you like to learn more?

Our innate tendency to be connected with the natural environment is captured in the term “biophilia” (coined by Dr. Edward O Wilson). We will expand on insights about the health-benefits of nature, so please stay tuned while caring for your houseplants and taking a walk in the forest, or a nearby park.

To echo Lao Tzu, “Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it”, we can enjoy benefits of wisdom when we put it into practice. Our next steps are to establish strategic partnerships in order to translate insights into empowering healthy lifestyles.

WHY are we committed to growing and sharing? Because each of us has an opportunity to share unique gifts and inspiring stories. We grow and share because we love our collective journey from healing to thriving.
